Aiyo.. What it is?

Roflin had the lucky chance to interview Santhakumaran Sreesanth while he was practicing his expressions this Sunday morning while shooting for an Ad for Lux soaps. Or so it seemed .. for we later learned that he was trying to get rid of the Idli from breakfast..

Anyway this is how the next 23 minutes proceeded

Roflin: Hello Sree, hows it going?

Sreesanth: (Touches his chest, looks up kisses his 3 24 karat gold chains, pumps himself and mutters something which remotely sounded like Symmonds or maybe it was swami aandavan) Yes, I am good.. you know the victory in Australia and all I mean was satisfying I mean it feels really good to beat the world champions you know.. it is sign of things.. how we beat them in home I mean.. yea am feeling good..

Roflin: Oh ok.. so tell me something about the Australia tour..

Sreesanth: (Looks around if there is some camera) It was unbelievable you know.. I couldn’t believe myself that we had done it..it is so exciting to beat the world champions you know and we beat them in Australia.. I mean Australia in Australia.. it is un.. it is just out of this world totally..I mean

Roflin: It was unbelievable eh.. so you guys doubted whether you can win.. the celebrations sure seemed like you surprised yourself

Sreesanth: We were aggressive and it is what we needed you know. I mean to beat Australia in Australia it is just a different thing.. we were all ready for anything I mean Sachin Paaji scored that hundred and we were all pumped up you know and there was no way we wanted to lose.. it is just unbelievable that we won the match .. I mean full credit to Australia the way we played you know.. it is very exciting..

Roflin: uh huh… (trying to remember what exactly was the interview about)

Roflin: You were a young side, and there must have been a huge amount of pressure on you.. how did you as a team cope with it ?

Sreesanth: Yes we were a young side you know.. we missed Ganguly sir and Dravid sir but we were all young and energy and you know we all wanted to win the match and Sachin Paaji was the best .. I mean in the best form.. and we all performed you know.. we wanted to beat Australia in Australia ..you know to beat at home is just awesome I mean I have no words to describe it..

Roflin: I can see that the excitement of winning hasn’t worn off yet.. but I’d like to ask something a little off topic here

Sreesanth: Yes .. I know I was offered a philim role I mean but I only want to play cricket at the moment you know

Roflin: Err.. Ok.. but what I wanted to ask you was what you think of the IPL and especially the news that Preity Zinta wanted you in her team anyhow.. how does that feel and what are your thoughts on it?

Sreesanth: Yes the IPL is around the corner you know.. we have really big stars coming in .. there is Shah Rukh sir (touches his chest forehead right knee and left ankle) and Preity Zitna also.. it is a good opportunity .. it is a terrific game you know.. there is so much action.. and I want to play cricket .. it is just unbelievable to be auctioned and I will be playing with Preity Zinta (Roflin would like to know what Ness Wadia thinks about this line) I mean it is a dream come true you know .. there are so many great players in the country.. especially after beating Australia you know .. I am looking forward to it and playing and it is cricket I mean it is just fantastic.. it is just unbelievable

Roflin: …..

Sreesanth: Looking up.. muttering something

Roflin: So any matrimonial alliance on the cards?

Sreesanth: The girls will have to I mean I like girls and I look good but cricket is what I love.. I just want to play for my country.. I love my country you know .. I mean films and all can wait..it is just cricket is top of my mind… on top of my mind.. and these other things don’t matter .. I mean the films.. the ads ..these things can wait .. it is all God’s grace you know.. I just want to play cricket… (so who is stopping you?)

Roflin: Alright Sree, it was wonderful talking to you .. thank you for your time.. go have some fun and come back with a renewed vigor on the field..and lots of wicket

Sree: It is all God’s grace I mean ..it was .. it is ..I mean it’s a dream.. and I can’t describe how I feel.. Jaai Hiind..is all I can say..
